Violet Lynn Miller, 71, of West Tarentum, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023, in Allegheny Valley Hospital. She was born July 21, 1952, in Natrona Heights, to the late Kenneth & Tessie Scholl Martz Sr. Violet was the first class to graduate from Highlands Senior High School in the class of 1970. She was employed at Sheetz in Creighton for 22 years and also worked for P & M Pizza Inc. in Arnold. Violet enjoyed Bingo, Yahtzee, and especially going to the casinos, but her family was the center of her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley and Betty Ann; and brothers, Larry and Kenneth Jr. Violet is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, John Miller Sr.; children, Timothy Brozewicz, Dawn (Philip) McKinley, John (Sarah) Miller Jr. and Amanda (Charlie) Miller; brother, Rick (Gaye) Martz; and grandchildren, Craig, Philip Jr., Shannon, Matthew and John III.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, in the Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, 724-337-3325. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, in the funeral home with Reverend Dean Ward officiating.
