Travis James "TJ" Lasko Sr., 56, of Vandergrift, formerly of New Kensington, passed away Friday, May 21, 2021, in his home. He was born Jan. 28, 1965, in New Kensington, to the late John Robert and Patricia Chine Lasko Sr. He was an Army veteran, who was stationed in Ft. Dix, N.J. TJ was a chef for Hillcrest Country Club, Lower Burrell, and the former Clarion Hotel, New Kensington. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and loved vacations with his family and grandchildren, going to amusement parks. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, John R. Lasko Jr. TJ is survived by his children, Travis Lasko Jr., Dea-Dra Lasko, Jonathan Lasko, Stefan Houser, Laken Houser, Clayton Ward and Jessica and Drey; brother, Mikey (Shannon) Lasko Sr.; nieces and nephews, Jarell, America, Amara, Dezzy, Mikey Jr., Dale, Kelsey and Mykal; grandchildren, Travis III, Edward Jr., Travoni, Jarie, Amoni, Dalauna, Tania, Matthew Jr., Domenick, Isaiah, Stefan Jr., Sindra, Darius, Brydon, Zion and Nyasia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021, in the JOSEPH J. CARDARO FUNERAL HOME, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, 724-337-3325. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 6 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
