Tamera Renee Ford, 40, of New Kensington, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born Aug. 26, 1977, in New Kensington. Tamera lived in Oakland, Calif., for 30 years, and worked for Comcast as a service representative. She later moved back to New Kensington, where she worked for Dollar Energy as a representative. She was a member of Canaan Outreach Ministries, New Kensington. She was preceded in death by a son, Zion, who died at birth; grandmother, Bettyann Williams; grandfather, Samuel Thompson; and Alberta Mosley, who helped raise her. She is survived by her mother, Nikki Thompson; father, John McMillan; brothers, Nathaniel (Carla) Thompson and DaVone (Natasha) Thompson; stepsisters, Starbrina Tymes and Sunshine Thompson; aunts, Dara Price and Regina White; uncles, Samuel Thompson and Eric Thompson; special cousin, Shawntell Price; companion, Gordon Brown; also survived by four nieces, a nephew, and a host of relatives. Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, in the JOSEPH J. CARDARO FUNERAL HOME, a service-oriented funeral home, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, 724-337-3325.
