Steven James Kubaska, 50, of New Kensington, died Friday, June 23, 2017, in UPMC Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Oct. 7, 1966, in New Kensington, to the late Frank Jr. and Velda 'Sally' Shuey Kubaska. Steven was a self-employed auto mechanic. He had a great love for working on cars. He enjoyed spending time with friends at the Valley Bar, the Stadium and JJ's Tavern, where he loved socializing and 'sippin' on gin and juice.' He loved the time that he did spend with his children. He is survived by his brothers, Jerry (Toni) Kubaska, and Michael Kubaska; children, Bridget and Stephen, and their mother, Donna Golden; and Morgen, and her mother, Janet Glubish; a nephew, Brian; and a niece, Nichole. Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2017, in the JOSEPH J. CARDARO FUNERAL HOME, a service oriented funeral home, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, 724-337-3325. A memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at 8 p.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor Carmen Butler officiating. Burial will be private.
