Ruth M. Aikens, 87, of Arnold, passed away Monday, November 17, 2025, in her home. She was born October 11, 1938, in New Kensington, to the late Ernesto G. and Rose Corsaro Bossio. Ruth worked as a manager at Gaylords Department Store and also was the manager at the Springdale Grocery Store in the Bakery and Deli departments. She was a true prayer warrior. Ruth attended Allegheny Valley Church of God, New Kensington, and was a member of the Christian Assembly in Arnold. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Rev. Thomas Bossio and Rev. Emanuel "Mino" Bossio; and sisters, Patricia Birch and Katherine Polito. Ruth is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Aikens; children, Cheryl (John) Miller, Bob (companion, Tracy) Johnson and Lori (Char) Brown; stepdaughter, Janice (Cip) Ambriz; brother, Robert (Joan) Bossio Sr.; grandchildren, Kaylee (Craig) Eyth, Jacob Roebuck, Lisa (Bill) Welch, Charles Phillip Jr., Krystal Johnson/Ewing, and Cruz and Danny Ambriz; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 20, 2025, in the Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home, 1125 Kenneth Ave. New Kensington, 724-337-3325. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 21, 2025, in the funeral home with Pastor Carmen Butler officiating.
