Rose Marie Polito Ireland, 73, of Arnold, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021, in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born May 15, 1947, in New Kensington, to the late Feorcavnti "Floyd" and Katherine Bossio Polito. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her fiance, Richard Dutch; maternal grandparents, the Rev. Ernesto and Rose Bossio; and brother, Floyd Polito Jr. Rose is survived by her children, Paula (Bill) Cunningham, Karen (Chris) Johnston and Robert (Trisha) Johnston; two sisters, Jackie (Russ) Whitehair and Kathy Nicklas; aunts and uncles, Bob and Joanne Bossio and Tom and Ruth Aikens; grandchildren, Ashley Waterloo, Brittany, Scott and Keristin Cunningham, Shane and Landyn Zigarovich, Sabastian Johnson, Donnie McGuire, and Tiffany and Hunter Johnston; also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and a host of other family members. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021, in the JOSEPH J. CARDARO FUNERAL HOME, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, 724-337-3325. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 5 p.m. in the funeral home, with John and Cheryl Miller officiating. Burial will be private.
