Robert "Bob" Emile Sprumont, 79, of New Kensington, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021, in his home. He was born January 7, 1942, in New Kensington, to the late Armand Glenn & Mary Thiry Sprumont. Bob was a US Army veteran, serving from 1961 to 1964 in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was employed for 38 years as a Mixer Man for AP Green Refactories/Wulrath Industries in Tarentum, until his retirement in 2002. Bob was a member of St. Mary of Czestochowa/St. Joseph Church, New Kensington, a lifetime member, serving 52 years, with New Kensington #3 Fire Department, and the American Legion Post 868, Lower Burrell. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Daniel. Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Constance "Connie" M. Bentlejewski Sprumont; son Robert "Bob" (Jenel) Sprumont; grandson, Daniel Sprumont; siblings, Mary Lou Redmond, and Glenn (Marion) Sprumont; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9:00 PM on Friday, December 10, 2021, in the Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home, 1125 Kenneth Ave. New Kensington, 724-337-3325. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, December 11, 2021, in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, New Kensington. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. A service will be conducted by the New Kensington Fire department at 7:30 PM Friday evening.
