Raymond M. Widmer, known by most as Ray, 79, passed away Monday, November 20, 2023, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 20, 1944, in New Kensington, to the late Francis and Eleanora Gallagher Widmer. From living in central Pa, to the Navy bringing him to Southern California, this gave Ray a lot of great experiences. If you know him, you knew his love for Newfoundland or Australia. Ray had some wonderful travel stories. He was loved by many. Ray lived a full life and had many experiences. He was a great family man and had a great heart. Ray was a great dad, husband and grandfather. He was a child at heart for sure and enjoyed the simple life. He was a US Navy veteran. Ray leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Cynthia; 2 sons, Robert and Ron; stepdaughter, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Jack and Emme; sister, Sheila and her husband John; sister in laws, Betty Jean and Sue; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Greenwood Memorial Park, 104 Melwood Rd, Lower Burrell, with Pastor Joshua Strunk officiating.
