Raymond Al "Sumo" Tocco, 69, of New Kensington, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital. He was born October 15, 1952, in New Kensington, to the late Raymond & Betty Hughes Tocco. Raymond was a graduate of Valley High School and worked for Allegheny Ludlum, Brackenridge, as a crane man for 30 years. He was an avid golfer, coached Twin City League Baseball and umpired games. Raymond was a member of the American Legion and Fireman's #2 club, both of Arnold and St. Joseph's Golf League. Raymond is survived by his wife of 48 years, Regina Scobel Tocco; son R.J. (Lauren) Tocco; sister, Linda (Lewis) Thompson; grandchild, Carson Raymond; niece, Katrina, with whom she made her home with; cousin, Bob (Valerie) Tocco; and nephew, Lewis Thompson. He really loved being Puppa and Uncle. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 PM on Monday, August 1, 2022, in the Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home, 1125 Kenneth Ave. New Kensington, 724-337-3325. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
