Pauline I. Snoznik, 95, of Lower Burrell, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022, surrounded by her loving family, in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born June 29, 1927, in Germany Township, to the late Paul & Anna Wallack Petika. Pauline and the love of her life, Albert, were pen pals for 3 years while Albert was stationed in the Philippines during WWII in the US Army. During this time, Pauline worked for Bell Telephone as an operator. When Albert returned home, they married and lived in the Renton area. Pauline was a life member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, where she taught Catechism. She was a true servant unto the Lord, upholding others with prayers and thoughts, spreading encouragement and love each and every day. Pauline taught accordion lessons to the young and old alike for many years. She was a self-taught Button Box Player. Pauline was a member of the Jack Tady Polka Band as the Satin Dolls, the SNPJ Society, and the Acme Club, Cheswick, where she loved to play the accordion, socialize and dance.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Snoznik; daughter, Roberta Hillegass; and sister, Marion Bertovich. Pauline is survived by her daughter, Rose Ann (Keith) Dombroski; sons, Raymond (Kelly) Snoznik and Russell (Rhonda Manski) Snoznik; sisters, Dorothy Decker and Francis Trenthan; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8:00 PM, on Sunday, December 18, 2022, in the Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, 724-337-3325. Prayers of Transfer will be at 9:30 AM on Monday, December 19, 2022, in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in loving memory of Pauline to St. Joseph Church.
