Michael Thomas "Big Mike" Spiering, 70, of New Kensington, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022, in UPMC Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born August 31, 1951, to the late Edward and Audrey Kendell Spiering. Mike was a graduate of Plum High School and was the owner and operator of Cottman Transmission for over 30 years. He enjoyed fast cars, which was his life, and also making Moonshine. Mike loved his family and loved spending time with them. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ed and Ken. Mike is survived by his wife, Theresa Whitco Spiering; children, Tracy (Nathan Caliguiri) Spiering, Amanda (Ralph) Enberg and Michael Spiering Jr.; brother, Daniel Spiering; grandchildren, Mariah Spiering, Michael Spiering III, Lilee Bergstrom and Palyn Enberg; and his best buddy, his cat, Razzle.
