Obituary

Marneese E. Campbell, 89 formerly of New Kensington, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022, in Holly Springs, NC. She was born January 11, 1933, in New Kensington, to the late Theodore and Beulah Smoot Watkins. Marneese was an OR tech at the former Citizens General Hospital and then worked for Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation in Brackenridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Campbell; and sister, Theora Johnson. Marneese is survived by her brother, Theodore Watkins; sister, Patricia Cheatham; her niece/daughter, with whom she made her home, Marneese (Jay) Nicholson II; great niece/granddaughter, Charity Cheatham; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received from 10 to 12 Noon on Saturday, September 24, 2022, in the Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home, 1125 Kenneth Ave. New Kensington, 724-337-3325. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 12 noon in the funeral home followed by the internment in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. www.cardarofuneralhome.com
