Marcus E. “Mark” Hoak, 88, of New Kensington, passed away, Monday, June 15, 2026, in his home. He was born December 30, 1937, in New Kensington, to the late James and Myrtle Albertson Hoak. Mark was a 1955 graduate of Ken-Hi and a US Navy veteran who served on the USS Lexington. He worked for Xerox for 38 years as a service tech, setting up networks in offices and helping to develop the first fax machine. Mark was a longstanding member of the New Kensington Eagles, Aerie 533, where he was the Secretary for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Joyce Hoak; and brother, Elroy Hoak. Mark is survived by his son, Ricky (Lori) Hoak; granddaughters, Rachelle and Nicole Hoak; great-grandchildren, Jaydon and Quinn Sundgren and Camron Plummer; nieces and nephews, Dorothy “Sissy” Houser, Jane Martz, Georgean “Tiney” Ware, Emily Ploski, Guy Tocco, John Ullinsky and Terri Glock; and close family friend, Gloria Linderman. Visitation and services were private. Private entombment was in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. Arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph J.
