Leverett Anderson Diggs, husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother passed away suddenly on Saturday January 7, 2023, at 52 years of age. Leverett, the sixth child among the seven siblings grew up in Wilkinsburg graduating from Wilkinsburg High School. He was a gifted analytical thinker and gravitated toward the study of computer architecture. He made a hobby of building his own computer. He embraced technology and enjoyed using social media to create albums for friends and family to enjoy. He enjoyed archiving vintage family photographs. Leverett also studied at the Community College of Allegheny County and earned a certificate in health care assistance. After working a few years in healthcare, Leverett, always ambitious and hard-working established a bustling trucking company in the East End, Dream City Trucking, LLC. He was devoted to his wife, children, his grandson, large extended family, and to his church. His love and support will be sorely missed. He loved tinkering in his shop on Saturdays and taking the children on outings after Sunday service. Leverett is survived by his wife, Donielle Owen Diggs; his son, Leverett Anderson Diggs, Jr.; his daughter, Lillie Angelina Diggs; his niece and best friend, Kenedie Price; his grandson, Kyle Jeremiah Diggs; his mother, Julia M. Diggs; five siblings, Doralee Brooks (Michael), Mary A. Carrington (Lee), Ronald Berone Diggs (Joetta), Robin Diggs and Jessica C. Diggs; mother-in-law, Iris R. Owen; brother-in-law, Philip Owen; and uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Berone Diggs,
; son, Jaime Moore; sister, Julia Bonita Diggs; and father-in-law, Louis Owen. "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delights in his way." (Psalm 37:23) Friends and family will be received from 1 to 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Bibleway Christian Fellowship Church, 504 8th Street, New Kensington PA 15068. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation in the church at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Dr. Mitchel Nickols officiating. Burial will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home New Kensington, 724-337-3325.
