Joseph Patrick Kregiel, 90, of Upper Burrell, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023, in his home, surrounded by his family. He was born March 17, 1933, in New Kensington, to the late Joseph & Mary Dominac Kregiel. Joseph was a graduate of Plum High School and also from Pitt University receiving a degree in Architect and Education. He was employed by Crump Construction and was a supervisor, building hospitals, among other buildings. Joseph was a US Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Alzine Pritts Kregiel; son Michael Edwards; brothers, Eugene and Ronald Kregiel; and grandson, Benjamin Carson. Joseph is survived by 2 sons, James and Charles; 2 daughters, Patricia and Nancy; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; nephews, Timothy, David and Joshua; and nieces, Brittany & Bethany. As per Joseph's wishes, all visitation and services were private and entrusted to the Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home, New Kensington, 724-337-3325.
