John P. Stapinski, 50, of Arnold, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021, in his home. He was born July 9, 1970, in New Kensington. John was a Valley High School graduate and then enlisted in the Navy SEALs, where he served during Desert Storm. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Stapinski; maternal grandparents, Henry and Betty Hockenberry Edwards; and paternal grandparents, Michael and Savilla "Betsy" Perrin Stapinski. John is survived by his mother, Mary Edwards Stapinski; sister, Jolene (Henry) Delgrosso; and nephew, Dominic Delgrosso. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021, in the JOSEPH J. CARDARO FUNERAL HOME, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, 724-337-3325. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2021, in the funeral home, with Pastor Dean Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
