John Sekscinski, 73, of Kinloch, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022, in his home. He was born Nov. 26, 1948, in Natrona Heights, to the late Victor & Mary Cendra Sekscinski. John was a 1967 graduate of Ken High School, the last class to graduate from there. He worked in the Steel Foundry and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers #12, the 7th Street Sportsmen's Club & PLMS, both of New Kensington, and the American Slovak Protective Society, Creighton. John was an avid gardener, enjoyed cooking, corny jokes, playing Yuker, shooting pool and watching his favorite shows, Gunsmoke and Wrestling. John is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Matthew Green) Durkac; grandchildren, Jayden, Piper and Blake; cousin, Helena (William) Morrison and their children, Jacob, Ethan, Elijah and Malloree Morrison, and Lawrence A. and Robert Craig, both from West Virginia.; good friends and caretakers, Frederick Dupree and John & Donna Roffol.
Family and friends will be welcomed to a Funeral Mass at 10 AM on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Lower Burrell, with full military honors by the Vandergrift Honor Guard. Arrangements are entrusted to the Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home, New Kensington.
