John “Murph” Myers III, 65, or 66 according to his grandma’s Bible, of Washington, formerly of New Kensington, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026, in his home. He was born on December 10, 1960, in Natrona Heights to the late John & Loretta Olar Myers. John was a student at Deer Lakes High School and served in the U.S. Army. John worked installing fences for many companies in the area. He enjoyed playing softball, listening to music, and watching the Pirates, Yankees and Steelers. John loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, Savannah and Evan that he lived with. John never met a stranger; to know him was to love him, and he could make a friend anywhere. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Tina Pelino, William Myers, Julieanne Myers and Beverly Myers; and infant brother, Bruce Myers. John is survived by his children, Jesse James, Richell Myers and Angel (John Persse) Myers; sister, Brenda (Scott Madine) Myers; grandchildren, Ariana Tuvell, Savannah and Evan Persse, Demitri Myers and Nathan Hurt; grandson-in-law, Alec Persse; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 PM, on Monday, July 6, 2026, in the Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, 724-337-3325. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 8:00 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Dean Ward officiating. Burial will be private. www.cardarofuneralhome.com
