John Carl Crissman Sr., 78, of Punxsutawney, previously of Allegheny Township, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Mulberry Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Punxsutawney. He was born January 2, 1947, in Oklahoma, PA to the late Robert and Emma Baylor Crissman. John was the owner and operator of the 356 Auto Body in Allegheny Township for many years. He enjoyed painting, repairing and inspecting cars, going to camp with his brothers and friends, and going to the Hazen Flea Market. John leaves behind his favorite caregiver and friend, Veronica, and his 2 dogs, Lady and Chloe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his best friend and brother, Donald Crissman; and 4 nephews. John is survived by his daughter, Amy Sue (friend, Phil) Knappenberger, of Kittanning; son, Johnny (Cheri) Crissman Jr., of Tionesta; five grandchildren, Martina (Ryan) Odrechowski, Derek Brown, Natasha (Jesse) Hernandez, Adam (Mariah) Crissman and Aaron Crissman; one great grandson; brother, Robert (Karen) Crissman, of Baxter; sisters, Dianna (Sam) Heonstine, of Murrysville, Grace (Paul) Martino, of Walston and Karen (Jerry) Voelker, of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
