Jeffrey D. Ament, 62, of Vandergrift, passed away Friday, April 26, 2024, in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. He was born January 23, 1962, in Natrona Heights to the late Roy E. and Rose Ann Mohney Ament. Jeff was a graduate of Burrell High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl McGuire Ament; daughter, Alicia Mae Ament; and brother, Jack Ament. Jeff is survived by his son, Jeffrey (Magen) Ament II; grandchildren, Connor and Coleson Ament; siblings, Anna (Tim) Daugherty, Terry (Debbie) Ament, Christine Kirkland, Joy (Rick) Dobor, Gail Gohn, Roy M. Ament and Lenny (Maggie) Ament; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9:00 PM on Monday, April 29, 2024, in the Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home, 1125 Kenneth Ave. New Kensington, 724-337-3325. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, in the funeral home with Deacon Joey Wienskovich officiating. Burial will follow in Brookland Cemetery, Allegheny Township.
