Helen Marie Campbell, 98, formerly of Arnold, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024, in Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Natrona Heights. She was born October 1, 1925, in Ford City, to the late Casper & Mary Volny Simak. Helen was a 1944 graduate of East Deer High School and worked for Liberty Mirror in Brackenridge. She then married Robert James Campbell on May 30, 1953. Helen enjoyed working around her home, and was an excellent cook and baker, making her homemade cookies, especially her nut rolls and orange cookies. She loved her grandchildren and attended many of their sporting events. Helen also loved to go camping. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, where she was a Christian Mother and Catholic Daughter of America. Helen was also a member of the Arnold Fire Company #2 Auxiliary, and FOE Aeries 533, New Kensington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert James Campbell; brothers, Casper, Steven, John, Louis, Phillip and Robert; and sisters, Anna and Marion. Helen is survived by her daughters, Sandra (William R.) York and Robin (Andrew) Cappone; grandchildren, Amy (Joe) Trapani, Tiffany (Dr. Douglas) Osborne, William Robert (Misty) York Jr. and Andrew R. (Jessica) Cappone; great grandchildren, Sophia, Joey, Aurora, Brendan, William, Landon, Collin, Carter, Andrew and Cooper; sisters, Theresa Kolin and Betty Walsh. A private Funeral Mass was held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. Private entombment took place in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
