Emily Monica Waggoner, 95, of Braddock, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, including her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was born October 12, 1930, in Braddock to William and Mary Polowski Kill.

Emily found great joy in cooking, going to church, watching EWTN and bringing her family together for Sunday dinners in her home. Above all, she loved making people laugh and cherished every visit from loved ones during her time at Harmar Village Care Center.

A devoted Catholic, Emily’s faith was evident to all who knew her. Above all else, she loved the Lord and served him faithfully. Emily’s purpose on Earth was to make sure everyone knew God and the Blessed Mother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Dolores Egan and Marian Balaschak; and her brother, William Kill.

Emily is survived by her son, David (Marguerite) Jacobs, of Mims, Florida; her daughters, Deborah (Anthony) Guida III, of Plum and Kimberly (Regis-deceased) Connelly, of Valencia; her beloved grandchildren, Wendy (Harold) Edwards, Jessica (Brian) Bennett, David Jacobs, Nicole (Seth) Hornack, Michael Guida and Matt (Taylor) Connelly; her cherished great-grandchildren, Aubrie, Evan, Ariana, Everett, Gemma, Peyton, Faith, Seth and Declan.

The family wishes to extend their deepest heartfelt thanks to the staff, nurses and many CNAs at Community Life and Harmar Village Care Center for the compassionate care, help, support and love they provided Emily over the past several years.

Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in the Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, 724-337-3325.
