September 4, 1950 – September 11, 2022
Ellis Paul McAdams, 72, of West Deer Township, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 4, 1950, in New Kensington, to the late Alfred & Grace Snitzer McAdams. Ellis was a 1969 graduate of West Deer High School and was a US Air Force Veteran. He was employed for Anvil Products, and then Braeburn Steel, finishing his career as a truck driver for 25 years for Packaging Specialists Inc. (PSI), Cheswick, retiring in 2015. Ellis was a member of the Frazer Sportsmen's Club where he enjoyed trap shooting. He enjoyed family games, wood working in his garage, riding his Kubota cutting the grass, bowling and lending a hand to anyone who needed it. Ellis loved spending time with his family, especially his 2 precious granddaughters. He was a quiet man, but always left a huge impression. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald McAdams, in 2020. Ellis is survived by his wife of 46 years, Margaret "Peggy" Hauger McAdams; sons, Daniel A. Leight and Aaron (Megan) McAdams; granddaughters, Paisley and Reilly McAdams; brothers, Larry (Betty) and Dale (Vicki) McAdams; sister, Norene (John) Fortuna; sister-in-law, Connie McAdams; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. As per Ellis' wishes, all services were private and entrusted to the Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home, New Kensington, 724-337-3325. The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice and all our loving family for such great care. www.cardarofuneralhome.com
