Edward Richard "Ed" Thompson, 74, of New Kensington, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born October 16, 1947, in New Kensington, to the late William and Virginia Miller Thompson. Ed was a 1966 graduate of Ken-Hi and was a US Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. He attended 1st Baptist Church in Upper Burrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siter, Cathy; and brother, Tomas. Ed is survived by his sisters, Jean Wallace, Marie Capo, Betty (John) Molina, Eileen McCready, Janice (Joe) Sergi, and Debbie (Phillip) Caradella; and brothers, William, Larry and Kenny Thompson. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5 to 7:00 PM on Friday, May 20, 2022, at the New Kensington Eagles, Aerie 533, 2134 Freeport Rd. New Kensington, PA. Private burial was in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, with full military honors, conducted by the Vandergrift Honor Guard. Arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph J.
