Enter obituary information here. Douglas A. Altman, 57, of New Kensington, formerly of Tulsa, Okla., passed away unexpectedly but peacefully Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, at his home while sleeping. He was born March 12, 1959, in Allegheny City. He enjoyed country music, dancing, fishing, camping and working with wood, but loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Burkett Altman; mother of his children, Sharon Lipanot Altman; brothers, Lewis Jr. and Glenn Altman; father-in-law, Roy G. Ruediger Sr.; brother-in-law, Roy G. Ruediger Jr.; and sister-in-law, Pamela Ruediger. He is survived by his wife, Teny M. Diller Altman; children, Bryan (Kristen Raypush) Altman and Ashley (Jeff Coltz) Altman; stepchildren, Micheal (Amy) McCurdy, Teny (Michael) Walker and Rebecca (Ronald) Walker Jr.; grandchildren, Gianna, MacKenzie, Michael, Gabrielle, Lawrence, Christopher 'CJ', Winona, Austin, Colten, Alexis and Sara; siblings, Roger Altman, of Michigan, Ronald Altman, of Oklahoma, and Barbara (Jeff) Martin, of Oklahoma; father, Lewis D. Altman Sr., of Oklahoma; mother-in-law, Margaret 'Peg' Ruediger; brother-in-law, Louis Ruediger; sister-in-law, Barbara (Terry) Johns; and also many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, in the JOSEPH J. CARDARO FUNERAL HOME, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, 724-337-3325. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
