Dorothy E. Ruble Matta, 93, formerly of New Kensington, of Gilpin Township, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022, in her daughters' home. She was born June 8, 1929, in Alicia, PA, to the late John and Hettie Pollock Ruble. Dorothy was a 1947 graduate of Plum High School. She was a homemaker until she rejoined the workforce in the dairy industry. Dorothy was later employed by R.P.C. Electronics. She was a member of the New Kensington YMCA for over 30 years, where she did lap swimming; and was a life member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, where she was also a member of the Christian Mothers. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, bowling and Polka dancing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Matta; son, George O. "Travis" Matta; sweetheart, Joseph Kaus; and brother, Joseph Ruble. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Susan H. Matta; trusted friend, Kitty Bankovich; brother-in-law, Richard Nadzam; sister, Maryann Dulnikowski; and 3 nieces and 3 nephews. NOTE **ALL PLANNING TO ATTEND ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK**.
