David R. Venter

David R. Venter, 82, who was a lifelong resident of New Kensington, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, April 27, 2026, in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born August 3, 1943, in New Kensington, to the late William and Theresa Venter. David completed his education at Ken High in 1963 and later earned a degree from the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a skilled mechanic who owned and operated his own business for decades. David faithfully served his church as a deacon and Sunday School Teacher at Holiday Park Baptist Church. He was recently a member of Harvest Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert, William II, Raymond and Carolyn.

David was the beloved husband of 56 years to Mary Mulkerin Venter; devoted father to Marcie (Naji) Venter-Lang and Erin (Steve) Venter Fox; proud grandfather to Lily and Emmie Fox; and also survived by his sister, Barbara Jean Howard; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received from 5 to 7:00 PM on Friday, May 1, 2026, in the Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home, 1125 Kenneth Ave. New Kensington, 724-337-3325. A Memorial Service will follow sometime in July.
