Barbara Sue Hines, 83, of New Kensington, passed away, Sunday, January 28, 2024, in the Willows of Presbyterian SeniorCare, Oakmont. She was born May 19, 1940, in New Kensington, to the late Ralph A. Canning and Elizabeth Czepull. Barbara was employed for Choice Childcare as a cook and also for banquets at Veltre's. She is a member of United Presbyterian Church, New Kensington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Mann. Barbara is survived by her children, Jodie (Michael) Hines, Ralph (Amy) Hines, Laurie (Rege) Rieger and Tim Hines; brother, Robert (Linda) Canning; grandchildren, Bailey and Hannah Hines, Jordan Yots, Emily, Grace and Anne Hines, and Jenna and Regis Rieger; and extended family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at United Presbyterian Church, 601 5th Ave. New Kensington, with Reverend Becca Siddle officiating. Burial will be private.
