Barbara Jane Dunn, 70, of New Kensington, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, in UPMC St. Margaret Hospital. She was born September 18, 1951, in Natrona Heights, to the late Joseph Edward Gatial Sr. and Betty McPherson Starr. Barbara was a graduate of Kiski Area High School and was employed for the VA in Aspinwall as a secretary. She was a member of the Real Life Church, Arnold and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Barbara was a very strong and caring woman. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Arn Dunn and stepfather, Richard E. Starr. Barbara is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Dunn and Richard (Suzanne) Dunn; siblings, Joseph (Jan) Gatial Jr. and Marie Postle; grandchildren, Taylor and Noah; great grandson, Thomas; and nieces and nephews, Joe Gatial III, Joelle Gatial Corna, Elizabeth Postle and Luke Postle. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, December 13, 2021, in the Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, 724-337-3325. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in the funeral home with Reverend Danial Carver officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
