Obituary

Arthur T. Bell, 85, affectionately known as Ted, Hon, Dad and Pap, went to his Heavenly Home on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Ted was born on October 9, 1936, in Bell Twp., Truxall, Pa the second son to Arthur E. "Pete" and Lula A. King Bell. He and his brother, Ronald "Oz" soon welcomed two more brothers, Larry and Gary, to form a bond that has lasted their entire lifetimes. Ted attended Bell Avon High School and after graduation he joined the United States Marine Corp. and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Upon returning to the US, he met the love of his life, Joyce Bonelli. They married on June 20th, 1964, and settled in Bell Twp. to raise their family. Their first born, Peggy, was soon joined by Monty then Diana, and the family was complete…or so they thought. Throughout the years they welcomed, to their home, Another Peggy, Rachele, MeeTer and Der Lee. And this family was perfect…or so they thought. The grandbabies began to arrive. Amber, Hannah, Kristina, Carley, Colton, Lily, Crystal, Memory, Melody, Hope, Katerina, Faith, James, Abel, Dom, Desi, Dalilah "Bean", Matthew, Marlee and DJ. And…this family continued to grow with many great grandbabies and another on the way. This Pappy's heart was full. Ted worked at R&P Coal Company until he retired after 28 years. He was a Deacon in his church and also a Sunday School Teacher and Camp Counselor. God was always at the front and foremost of his life. Ted is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce Bonelli Bell; his children, Peggy (Bob) Shearer, Monty (Patty) Bell, Diana Bell, Mee Ter (Rebecca) Moua, Der Lee (Yankee) Lee, Rachele (Ernst) Ladouceur & Peggy (Michael) Bonini Owensby; his grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother, Larry R. Bell; and lifetime friends, Joan Posney and Judy & Joe Cardaro. He joins in Heaven, his parents, Pete and Lula Bell; his brothers, Ronald "Oz" and Gary Bell; and his best friend, Raymond Posney. We are so proud of the man we called Ted, Hon, Dad and Pappy. We will love and miss him every day until we meet him again in Heaven. Sing with the angels!
